Service Description

how can i help you? one of the sweetest compliments i always get is, how do you do so much? if i'm honest, it's not the greatest mix: anxiety, perfectionism and needing to master years of undiagnosed ADHD. but that has led me to a skillset that is nothing if not rigorous and built on following through. so... how can i help you? here are a few ideas, at a special price. xox gina ACTING COACHING 1-on-1 coaching for auditions, stage and screen work, or any stage of exploration. My emphasis is on creating a warm environment that brings a feminist, anti-racist, queer and trans-positive approach to the craft. I take an intuitive approach that students find uncanny-- matching them with perfect monologues for auditions, unlocking scenes in new ways. I trained in everything from Lee Strasberg's Method to experimental techniques including Grotowski and Viewpoints, but, as a writer and director, I mostly love text analysis and stripped-back authenticity. VOCAL COACHING Singers of all levels, my focus is on performance: connecting with the material and finding the right pieces for your repertoire that help you express joy, your gender identity, or anything else that is stifled in traditional learning environments. I will never limit which gender or type you can sing, and I have numerous contacts that cast queer and trans singers, if that is of interest. I have 15 years of recording and touring experience as a singer/songwriter, and with musicals including the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles' It Gets Better Tour. CAREER COACHING My passion is helping to facilitate paradigm shifts that allow people to connect with their creativity and navigate a world that is often hostile to women, queer and trans people. Since 2016, my project Feminist Acting Class has brought hundreds of students to epiphanies about their own paths, the art they actually want to make, and how to center their own stories rather than be a cog in the industry machine. Are you seeking clarity? We can use this session to discuss anything you want, from the nuts and bolts numbers of how to make a fair wage off your art, to the nebulous and perhaps scarier questions of what art you are called to make, and transitions in your career. Coaching is held in Downtown Los Angeles or via Zoom.
